Just want to give my respect to Senator Rodríguez Negrón a man of respect and virtue. I worked as a legislative  aide back in the mid 90's. I recall that night when the NPP was banning Sentor Nicolás Nogueras Cartagena from the Senate of Puerto Rico and the New Progressive Party. Senator Rodríguez abstained from voting on the committee investigation report, it's findings and the pending legislation. At the time he presented his vote to abstain it was such a stressful moment that you could see it in his face and tone of voice. I was so impressed and uttered for how honorable Rodríguez projected himself on the floor that night of such a stressful moment in Puerto Rico's history with his behavior, and decor. You knew there that he was an amazing lawyer, senator and judge. May he rest in peace. 

"I know everything." My grandfather would always tell me. When I was a kid, I'd ask him all of my biggest questions. He taught me about love, justice, ferocity, and to have an endless desire to learn more. Humble and so very loving. He has always been a prime example and role model to me. And he always will be. I love you so much, papito.

El dia que compre mi casa de casualidad èl estaba en el mismo banco en otras gestiones luego de saludarnos, me pidió acompañarme a mi y mi esposa para estar seguro que todo lo de nosotros estaba en orden. I first met Don Rico and his lovely wife in autumn of 1977.  Little did I realize then, his college age daughter and I would forge a beautiful relationship for many decades to come that would pave the way to become well acquainted with her immediate family members and in time would evolve to be like family members of my own.

From its beginning, I sensed there was something very special about my friend and her family.  I grew to have a deep respect, strong admiration and love for them.  They stood as a praiseworthy example of the familial bonds God created and ordained in the institutions of marriage and family.  It was a captivating family, and at the head of it was her dad, Don Rico and her lovely mother, Sra. Margie.

I was blown away by Don Rico's success.  How could I not be?  I was, after all,  a poor child of humble beginnings and before me stood an elevated, highly esteemed man, who had been, in many ways, gifted by our Creator.  I had both fear -reverent fear- and deep respect for him;  he was a well-known, very accomplished member of our society, and had made numerous valuable contributions for the well-being of others.  A man worthy of many accolades for his illustrious career and a life well lived!  -But most importantly,  he was a God fearing man, with deep convictions, and a personal relationship  with Jesus Christ, our Savior!

During this time of sadness, I extend my most heartfelt condolences to you all.  May God in His tender mercies, hold you near to His heart bringing comfort and peace during this affliction and final farewell.  May He lift the heaviness of your hearts and may your spirits well-up with hope knowing that someday this broken family chain will be re-linked again!

Mama I have you in my thoughts and prayer my condolences to you and the whole family in this hard times. May  Jehovah give you peace hand string to deal with all of this that you are going through sending love.

Dearest "Uncle" Ricky, I will never forget you. Every time we spoke, you always remembered the "wormy", the eel I caught fishing off the jetty when I was about five years old that you took home with you. Your smile was contagious and I can close my eyes and hear your voice. You were a friend to my father Ray since both your Navy days and a friend to our family as well. Rest peacefully. My sincere condolences to your entire family. Take care, all of you. 

My condolences to Margarita, Derrick and his siblings on their loss, which many of us share.  As I tweeted this norning, he had the rare combination of being serious and humorous.  He could aleays draw a laugh without ever being insulting. He was one of the most intelligent members of the Senate and it was an honor to serve with gim. It was certainly a blessing to be his neighbor in Sabanera in Cidra for over seven years, where he was a great role model and sonewhat a grandfather to my son Kevin, who is now a 27 year old man!

May he rest in peace and his memory continue educating and guiding us.

Truly sorry to hear the news. My heartfelt prayers to all. May God's loving hands embrace all of you during these moments of sorrow.

So grateful for my brother in law, Enrique, who gave my sister a wonderful life. Four amazing children, Who in turn gave them grandchildren and great grandchildren. He has left a legacy of love, honour and wisdom to all who knew him.
 May he rest in peace in his eternal new home with Jesus and other family members who went before him. I will see you again one day when I am called up by our Saviour.

The time he served as a Judge, he married my husband and I.  He mentioned the importance of respecting and loving each other for life. We told him that we wouldn’t let him down. Then he proceeded to marry us and recently celebrated our 38th anniversary.  RIP 🙏🏼
