Eugene Franklin Fulgham Jr., 94, passed away on February 19, 2019 in Jacksonville, Fl. Gene was born on August 31, 1924 in Tallahassee, Fl. He was the son of Norma Mae Fulgham and Eugene Franklin Fulgham Sr.
Gene went to high school in Birmingham, Al. and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1950. When Gene and his family moved to Jacksonville, he worked for M.D. Moody & Sons, Inc., for 27 years retiring as Vice President and General Manager.
He is survived by his wife, Louise C. Fulgham; his daughter, Peggy F. Cross of Ponte Vedra Beach; his son, Eugene F. Fulgham III (Louise) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Jennifer G. Czyzewski (Jeff) of Ponte Vedra Beach and Eugene F. Fulgham IV of Jacksonville; his great grandchild, Jeffrey G. Czyzewski of Ponte Vedra Beach; his step-sons, William H. Owen (Cheryl) of Fernandina Beach and David C. Owen (Adair) of Jacksonville; his step-grandson, David “Corey” Owen (Kelli) and his step-great granddaughter, Noelle Owen, both of GA. He is predeceased by his parents; his wife and the mother of his children, Peggy G. Fulgham; his daughter, Virginia Anne Griffin; his sister, Juanita Mayhall and his brother, Charles Fulgham.
Gathering of family and friends will take place at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin on Wednesday, March 6 from 11 a.m. until noon. Inurnment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Dr. David Lee officiating.
