Eunice Matthews Waters

WATERS, Mrs. Eunice Matthews Waters, 88, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, September 26, 2016. Mrs. Waters was a member of Cedar Bay Baptist Church where funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, September 29, with Pastor Bill Tyler officiating. The family will receive friends one (1) hour prior to the service, at the church. Interment will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 4, at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Mrs. Waters was a retired administrative assistant with the Florida Baptist Convention. She was predeceased by a grandson, Stephen Shaw and 2 great grandchildren, Hailey Shaw and Dyllon Gearin. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Rudolph Waters; 1 son, Larry (LeeAnn) Waters; 1 daughter, Rhonda (Jim) Shaw; 1 sister, Frances Coker; 4 grandchildren: Aaron (Jenny), Shelly, Stacy (Matt) and Matthew; 7 great grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Florida Baptist Children’s Home, where she grew up, 2300 Bartram Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
