Evelyn Carver Guynn

Evelyn Carver Guynn (Nanny), age 78, of Hilliard, FL, left this world for her heavenly home on July 8, 2020. She was born on December 4, 1941, in Nicholls, GA and passed away at her home, after a brief illness, with loved ones by her side.

One of her greatest legacies is the outstanding work ethic she bestowed upon her children. She was always on the move and never let grass grow under her feet. Everyone who graced her door never left hungry. She was a woman with many skills and talents, who worked hard to provide for her family.

Evelyn is survived by her five children; a daughter, Sheila Walker of North Carrollton, Mississippi; four sons, Randy Guynn (Nancy), Jason Guynn (Missy), Sherman Guynn (Rhonda), and Shelton Guynn (Jana) all of Hilliard, FL; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Carver; three sisters, Catherine Carver, Bonnie Cooper, and Connie Carver; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Floyd Guynn; a Son-in-Law, John Walker, Sr.; parents, Jessie and Mary Carver; two brothers, Johnny and Raymond Carver; and a sister, Janie Nelson.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 26, at 3:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Boulougne, with Pastor Paul Lucas officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in her memory to Community Hospice at communityhospice.com.
