Evelyn Candeto Tucker

Evelyn C. Tucker, 84, passed away in her home Jan. 11, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. She retired after a long and rewarding career as an executive secretary with Chevrolet Motor Division of GM. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Paul V. Tucker. She is survived by daughters Connie Coker (Keith) and Paula Wallace (Eddy), by her grandchildren, Tyler Wallace, Lynn Wallace, Clay Coker (Adrianne), and Kyle Coker, and by great-grandson Brody Coker. She is also survived by sisters Elizabeth Whitworth and Camille Dill, and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a longtime resident of Mandarin where she was a member of the Garden Club and a loyal parishioner of the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 15 at Church of Our Saviour on Mandarin Rd with burial in Mandarin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Assn., Church of Our Saviour, or charity of your choice.
