
PFENNING Everett G. Pfenning passed away on Friday June 8, 2007, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Irene and Robert Pfenning. Everett was survived by his loving wife of 45 years Rebecca; his son Michael and his wife Tiffani; his daughter Angela Pfenning Williams and her husband Darrell; 5 grandchildren, Austin, Clayton, Garrett, Carlynn and Taylour; nieces, nephews and many loving and supportive friends. He was very devoted in every way.Everett was a career and current member of the Fraternal Order of Police, a member of Hogan Baptist Church, a Shriner and a member of Amelia Lodge in Fernandina Beach, Fl. He was a retired 28 year Veteran of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office where he received numerous rewards including the Medal of Valor. He served in the patrol division, as a motorman and a detective. After his retirement he continued as a police officer in the Court System for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. In 2002 Everett became a Nassau County Deputy Sheriff and served in the Court System in Nassau County where he currently served until his passing. Everett was an avid NASCAR and Harley Davidson Fan and rider. His Harley was his pride & joy. He will be missed by all, We love you, Everett.“Ride hard, live free Paw-Paw.”Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd with full law enforcement honors. Pallbearers will be Bobby Rowe, J.W.Carter, Butch Kennedy, Greg Foxworth, Jud Thompson and Danny Roten . All law enforcement will be honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday June 12, 2007. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, St. Johns Bluff.
