

She was born on August 11, 1939, in Jacksonville, Florida, where she spent her life deeply rooted in the community she loved.
Faye was a proud graduate of Landon High School and went on to build a long and accomplished career with Southern Bell, later BellSouth. She began her journey working at a bill payment desk at Preston Drug Store in San Marco and, through dedication and hard work, rose to become the Manager of the Major Account Customer Service Center. During her career, Faye was highly engaged in the Jacksonville business community, serving as a Military Liaison for the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, where she built strong relationships and supported members of the military community.
Faye was also passionate about giving back. She volunteered for many years with the Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament and later served as its Executive Director for two years following her retirement. During her tenure, she was instrumental in securing BellSouth as the tournament’s title sponsor. Under her leadership, the tournament reached its peak, hosting nearly 1,000 boats and featuring national entertainment, including the Charlie Daniels Band at the well-known Liar’s Tent.
Following her time with the Kingfish Tournament, Faye and her husband, Ray, enjoyed traveling extensively across the country in their RV, visiting destinations from Maine to Arizona and many places in between. Her favorite destination was the mountains of Western North Carolina, where she spent extended time in her beloved mountain campgrounds.
Above all, Faye cherished her family. She found great joy in hosting holidays and special gatherings in her home, creating lasting memories filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years Ray, her father Gene Chambers and her mother Edith Chambers, Faye is survived by her sons, Tom Parsons (Naomi) and Jeff Parsons (Gina); her grandchildren, Chris Parsons (Kimberly Ann) and Nichole Rollins (Chase); and her great-grandchildren, Chase, Chloe, Kennedy, and Parker.

Faye will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, on May 28, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the same location. A Committal Service will take place at Greenlawn cemetery immediately following the Funeral Service.
