Frances Claire Leak Bingham passed away peacefully on March 19 in Jacksonville, FL. She was raised in Longview, Texas, along with her beloved older brothers Jimmy and Dan by her parents James V. Leak and Ora Ann Ball Leak. She graduated college from Texas Christian University. She spent most of her adult life in Dallas. She was a devout Christian and attended Reinhardt Bible Church and then Fellowship Bible Church North where she served as the wedding reception committee chair.
She also served on the volunteer committee (and as president) for Medical City of Dallas. Reflecting on her service of more than 10 years, she said ‘it was probably the best thing I’ve ever done.’ She retired from Enserch Exploration Corp. where she was a legal secretary.
She was married to Vernon “Bo” Bingham who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters L’Ann Bingham, Mt. Shasta, CA and Angela Bingham, Jacksonville, FL.
In her final years, she retained her sweet disposition and her charming wit and sense of humor. Friends and family wanting to donate in her honor might consider a dementia research organization, or an animal welfare non-profit as she loved dogs.
