Born on August 6, 1941 in Red Bank, New Jersey, Fran was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She spent her life devoted to her family and her faith, and will be remembered most for strength, determination, generosity, and fierce love of her family.
Fran was steadfast in her faith through prayer and action. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for over 50 years. She served many ministries and on various committees. She trained altar servers, coordinated Living Nativities, sang in the choir (taking voice lessons to give her best gift to God), participated in the Holy Family Follies, where she sang a duet in a row boat, entertained children as a clown for the RENEW program, and was a member of the parish council and offertory counting team.
She was a proud member of the Council of Catholic Women for 45 years. She served in many leadership positions on the parish, deanery, and diocesan levels. She earned the status of “Honorary Member of 40 years” in the Catholic Woman’s Club.
Fran never said “no” when she was asked to help – always the first to show up and the last to leave – her energy and determination were tireless and inspiring.
Her sense of frivolity was evident in all the skits she participated in and costumes she donned for DCCW past presidents’ nights – everything from a nun, flapper, cowgirl, magician, and many more!
In addition to her service to her church community, Fran was also a talented painter and enjoyed this as a pastime for many years, gifting her art to family and friends alike.
Fran spent seventeen years working as the front desk coordinator at Bishop Kenny High School, where she loved being able to see her three grandchildren in school every day. After retiring from Bishop Kenny, Fran became Postmaster at Ossi’s Apothecary, where she happily worked until January 21, 2026.
Fran is survived by her children, Patricia (David), Anthony (Beth), and Kimberly; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Diana), Emily (Anthony), Kenneth, and Katie; her great-grandchildren, John (Madalynn), Kausar, Dean, and Aidan; her great-great-grandchildren Everleigh and Miralynn; her sister, Pat (Paul); her niece Melissa; as well as extended family members and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; her parents, Frances and Victor; her granddaughter, Frances; and her nephew, John. She often shared cherished memories of each of them, keeping their love and legacy close to her heart.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church. A viewing will precede the service at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Camp I Am Special in Fran’s honor at the following link: https://www.ccbjax.org/cias-donate
For those who wish to celebrate her life in another way, simply say a small prayer of gratitude for all that you have as Fran often did.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Fran is now at home with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her legacy of love, compassion, and many happy memories will continue to live on through all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
