It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Frances Jeannette Langston, who departed this life on November 20, 2025, at the age of 87. Surrounded by family and friends, Jan, as she was commonly known as, left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Born on May 19, 1938, in Augusta, Georgia, Frances Jeannette was the oldest of four daughters of Fredrick B. and Frances Muriel Patch. She is survived by her husband, Bernard John Langston, her three children, Daniel Lindsey Langston, Michael Keith Langston, and Allison Misti Tuppeny, grandchildren Benjamin Langston and Jonathan Grogan, Chris and Shane Langston, Lindsey Erin Cobb and her sisters Cora Sue Nebel and Janice Covington. Jeannette also had number of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her youngest sister, Julie Diane Shepherd.
Jan loved her family, her homes, and the pets that enriched the homes she maintained. She was forever the gardener around the home. Many pets were inclusive in the Langston household from dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, a rabbit, a rat and many squirrels along the way. Her passion was that of a squirrel rehabber and she enjoyed all the hard work that went into saving, nourishing, and eventually having them as pets in the home. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
A service for Frances Jeannette Langston life will be held on December 13, 2025, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home located at 940 Cesery Blvd, beginning at 2pm. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the following Charity/Organization in Frances Jeannette Langston's honor.
