Freda Doris Evans

She has been a resident of the Jacksonville area for 30 years coming from Mansfield, Ohio with a short time in Phoenix, Arizona.

Prior to retirement Ms. Evans worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at People’s Hospital in Mansfield for many years and after moving to Florida worked for JAX General/Specialty Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.

She was a former member of the Red Hat Society from which she derived much pleasure.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Ray Evans and Joe Oblinger.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph Oblinger (Rosie) of Phoenix, Arizona and James E Oblinger (Billie Jo) of Ponte Vedra, Florida. Also surviving are two daughters, Vicky Barry-Williams (Bret) of Jacksonville, Florida and Tonya Rae Wiegler of Las Vegas, Nevada. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Inurnment will be at a later date in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida.

Those who wish may make contributions in Freda’s name to the Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
