Freddie Bailey

Freddie C. Bailey, 78, went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2015. He was born in Birmingham, AL. but spent most of his life in Florida and South Georgia. Jacksonville has been home for the last fifty plus years. Freddie graduated from high school in Folkston, GA then joined the Air Force where he served as crew chief on the F-100 jet. He worked at several local car dealerships in their parts department and retired from Terry Buick. He served the Boy Scout of Troop 321 in Mandarin in several positions including as Scoutmaster. He also loved to fish the local waters especially in Julington Creek. He was a long time member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Kaitlin Bailey and a beloved brother-n-law John Prescott of Folkston, GA. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sue Bailey; son Lee (Jennifer) Bailey of Gainesville, FL; granddaughters Christy and Jessica Bailey; sister Sharon Prescott of Folkston, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Fruit Cove Baptist Church on Wednesday January, 2015. Service will begin at 11:00AM.
