I was a customer of one of your sandwich shops for a couple of different years in the same building downtown . The first year I met Mr. Fred and his sons, I was the very sad girl who came and ate lunch every day and looked at the want ads for a place to live. I never told you that I had just lost my mom to cancer and my then-fiance had broken up with me shortly afterwards, and how hard it was for me to put one foot in front of the other most days. You all were very kind, without knowing any of my story. I thank you all. I am very sorry for your tremendous loss. Mr. Fred was a character, and I especially enjoyed listening to him telling someone else that he had found hundreds of Beanie Babies his wife had squirreled away in their house...Rest in Peace, Mr. Fred, thank you for your kindness. May your fondest memories of your father comfort you all.
