Gail Elizabeth (Salmon) Sullivan, 66, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019, just one day shy of her 67th birthday after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 13, 1952 in New Rochelle, New York to her parents who preceded her in death, Roy Clifford and Doris Georgia Salmon. Gail was a registered nurse and worked in the nursing field for over 40 years. Gail was loving and kind, with a gentle and fun-loving spirit, who lived her life showing kindness and generosity to everyone she knew. She especially loved her family and they loved her beyond measure. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Patrick Sullivan; her sons, Daniel (Beth) Sullivan, and Kevin Sullivan; her precious grandsons, Aedan and Rylan Sullivan; her sisters, Nancy Salmon-Burchett (Frank) and Barbara Betts (Pete); brothers-in-law, Michael L. Sullivan (Bridget), Jerry Sullivan; sister-in-law, Eileen Sullivan Rodriguez (Alfredo); 15 nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and who were very important to her; several cousins and many, many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on 11:00am Friday, January 25th, 2019 at The Church of Eleven 22 (San Pablo Campus), 14286 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32250 with Pastor Cris Garrard, officiating. There will be a reception immediately following at Culhane’s Irish Pub, 967 Atlantic Blvd., Atlantic Beach, FL 32233. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Gail’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
