

She was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to Earle and Zillah Menges as the eldest of two daughters. Garnet lived in Jacksonville and Fleming Island in Hibernia since 1991.
Garnet is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frank Miller and her children, John Miller (Kim) of Plano Texas, Frederick Miller (Julie) of Jacksonville and Thomas Miller of Cocoa Beach, FL, her 4 grandchildren, her sister Gladys Maloy, extended family and numerous friends.
Garnet was an outstanding Duke University Graduate and did further study at St. Vincent's Hospital in Medical Technology. She was an accomplished gardener, and member of the Garden Circle, whose group was named 'Salvia'. Flower arranging was a common 'blue ribbon' endeavor for her. She was a talented and accomplished seamstress, outstanding at various crafts and an exceptional cook, which her family greatly appreciated. Great kindness and understanding was always found in her presence.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, January 12th at 11am at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Green Cove Springs with the Rev. Celeste Tisdelle and the Right Rev. George Young celebrating.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to,St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
