Gary Michael Flynn

Gary Michael Flynn, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. He was born in Denver, CO on June 25, 1948 and proudly served his country as an United States Navy Patrol Squadron Four aviation electronics technician in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Meritorious Unit Commendation ribbon. After his military service, Gary graduated from the University of California Los Angeles with a degree in electrical engineering. During his career, he worked in the medical equipment industry. He was an accomplished musician. Sailing was his greatest passion, bringing him much peace and joy, and it is where he met his closest friends. Gary died peacefully knowing the love and support of many great friends.

A graveside service and internment will be held at on 2:00pm, Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
