Gayle Knight

KNIGHT, Barbara Gayle Knight, 63, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, August 16, 2008, with her children and loved ones by her side. Mrs. Knight, a devoted Pastor’s wife, was born in Dothan, Alabama and had graduated from Houston County High School of Columbia, Alabama in 1963. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Rev. H. David Knight in December 2007. Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Knight; her son, Joel David (Angel) Knight; a sister, Brenda (Ron) Weeks; and 1 grandson, Casey Joel Knight. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM (Central Time) Saturday, August 23, at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, Ashford, Alabama, with Rev. Mike Parker and Rev. Bill Farris, officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery. The family will receive friends one (1) hour prior to the service at the church. The family will also receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, August 21, at COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Ave. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in Mrs. Knight’s memory to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
