Prior to retiring from Bank of America, Mr. Diaz was in the banking industry for many years.
Mr. Diaz proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Alberto and Eugenia Diaz, and his younger brother, Luis A Diaz.
He is survived by his son, George A. Diaz Jr. (married to Lena) of St. Augustine, FL; daughter Denise Morningstar (married to Glenn) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Michelle Sheppard (married to Jim) of Viera, FL. He also has a brother Alberto E. Diaz II (married to Dolores) of Miami, FL. And he is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Sean, Jennifer, Trey, Brooke, Brittany, and Sophia.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
Donations may be made in Mr Diaz’s name to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or Taylor Home.
