MOODY George Elmer Moody, 71, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 31, 2014 in Jacksonville. He was born on December 16, 1942 in Metter, Georgia to George Randolph Moody and Dolly Stille Moody. He lived in Jacksonville for over 35 years. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from Mercedez Benz after 35 years. George was an avid University of Florida “Gators” fan.Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Marston Moody; daughter, Kay Moody Pender (Randy); son, Kyle Moody; sister, Kay; brother, Ray; grandchildren, Jessica, Kayla and Justine and several nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday at Monument Point Fellowship Church, 13720 Mt. Pleasant Rd, Jacksonville, FL. 32225. The family will receive friends from 9 – 10 AM at the church.
