SKROCH—George J. Skroch, 58, passed away Tuesday, August 04, 2015. Born in Germany, George had made his home in Jacksonville for many years and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a salesman working with flooring products and was well known and liked by many. George will always be remembered as being honest, trustworthy and a gentle soul. He is survived by several friends and extended family. There will be a visitation Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave. from 2:00 until 4:00 PM. Graveside funeral services, with military honors, will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Jacksonville National Cemetery (Lane # 2). Pastor Harvey Hahn, Glendale Community Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family request donations, in his memory, to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
