Georgia S. Parnell

Georgia was preceded in death by her two husbands, Lee Madden Booth and Sessions Parnell.

For over 30 years, Georgia was the devoted Office Manager and Nurse for her brother-in-law, Daniel B. Nunn, M.D. Great love and patience was shown by Georgia to all of

Dr. Nunn’s patients.

Georgia’s interests included reading and gardening. She was also an avid lover of animals and cared for a number of dogs throughout her life. A faithful member of the Catholic Church, Georgia was a member of Assumption Parish. She was a Life Member of the Garden Club of Jacksonville and an active member of the Rose Circle of the Garden Club of Jacksonville.

Georgia is survived by her brother, Millard F. Smith, sister, Gloria Smith Nunn and brother-in-law, Daniel B. Nunn, M.D. Other family members include her niece Myra Nunn and nephews Daniel B. Nunn, Jr. and Andrew S. Nunn. She is also survived by her beloved friend Maynard Munn.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 26, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville. Graveside Services will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 27. Pastor Dan Casselberry of Ortega United Methodist Church will be officiating.
