Georgienne Michele “Gigi” Bell, 57, passed away on October 27, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on December 10, 1967, in Denville, New Jersey, Gigi lived a vibrant and adventurous life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit of exploration.
A proud graduate of Morris Hills High School in New Jersey’s Class of 1986, Gigi continued her education at The County College of Morris where she earned her Associate’s degree in computer technology. Her academic foundation laid the groundwork for a dynamic and diverse professional journey that reflected her fearless nature and boundless curiosity.
Gigi began her career at Maersk Shipping before briefly working at Purina. Her breakthrough came at Edison Power where she thrived as a System Analyst. Later, she joined a boat transport company where her passion for maritime logistics blossomed. This experience inspired her to launch her own boat transport business—an entrepreneurial leap that showcased her drive and independence.
Her deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the industry led her to author and publish a book titled *Boat and Yacht Transport Nationwide & International Shipping* under the pen name G.B. Stone. The book remains available on Amazon as a testament to her expertise and dedication.
In the later chapter of her professional life, Gigi pursued massage therapy—a field that allowed her to combine technical skill with heartfelt connection. After training and working in medical offices, she once again ventured out independently to build a practice rooted in healing and compassion. Through this work, Gigi touched countless lives with both her hands and her heart.
Gigi’s greatest joy was spending time with her beloved son, Ciaran Stone Dostica. Their bond was unbreakable, strengthened by shared adventures with their cherished dog Zulu—her constant companion who never left her side. Whether walking along the beach or simply enjoying each other’s company, Gigi found happiness in these simple moments.
She had an immense love for animals and embraced every opportunity to be near them. Sailing brought peace to her soul; live music stirred joy in her heart; dancing gave rhythm to her spirit; and cooking allowed her to share warmth with others. Above all else, Gigi loved to love—and she did so freely and fully.
Gigi is lovingly remembered by her son Ciaran Stone Dostica; Ciaran’s father Thomas Dostica; brother Richard Charles Bell Jr. (Carolann Burns); surrogate mother Hope Whitman; brothers David Whitman (Deanna) and Jeffrey Whitman; sisters Ronnie Walker and Denise Echavarria (Noel); brother-in-law David Mullis; and many others whose lives were brightened by knowing her.
She now joins those who passed before her: mother, Beth Gladstone Scheiner; father Richard Charles Bell Sr., step-mother Susan Bell, surrogate father Arthur Whitman; sister Pamela Whitman Mullis; and dear friend and former husband Butch Azevado.
A Christian by faith, Gigi carried love as both compass and calling card throughout every chapter of life. Her legacy is one of courage, creativity, connection—and above all—love.
May Georgienne “Gigi” Bell’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and cherished her. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 15, 2025, at 02:00 PM at The Italian American Club (Mandarin, Florida) 2838 Westberry Rd., Jacksonville, Florida 32223.
