Jerry attended Anderson Boys' High School in Anderson, South Carolina. He was in the US Army, serving in South Korea and Germany before taking a European separation to enjoy touring the continent. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in December 1974. He worked for the US government for over 20 years at the IRS (Beaufort and Charleston), the Charleston Naval Shipyard and back to the IRS (Columbia) until his retirement. He then operated a lawn maintenance business in Columbia, SC before relocating to Jacksonville, FL. Jerry was an avid tennis player and golfer. He cheered on the Gamecocks at all times.
Jerry was predeceased by his parents and a half-brother, John Milton Addis, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Belinda Ann Revel-Addis; daughter, Louise Davis; his son, Ian Addis (Maddie); 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial reception will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church's Parish Hall on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
