Gerald Edward Allen Brunke

Gerald Edward Allen Brunke, Jerry, age 74, passed away Sunday, August 28,2022. Jerry was a fun, loving, kind and caring man who enjoyed gardening, and making people laugh but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family. He respectfully requested a bottle of BBQ sauce to be buried with him so his wife can still find him irresistible after she passes. Jerry found his wife 53 years ago and was later blessed with two wonderful daughters. He was a good pumpkin! He was an accomplished businessman who engaged himself in many successful business adventures and was blessed with the opportunity of having his wife work beside him. He had an exceptional memory that had him sitting pretty in poker tournaments. Many will miss his morning phone calls and his spunky charming laugh, while others will miss his ability to care for any and all.

He is survived by his childhood sweetheart Elizabeth; Theresa(daughter); Michelle(daughter); Steve(son-in-law); Eric(grandson); Kayle(granddaughter); Ryan(grandson); Vannah(great granddaughter); Matthew(great grandson); Annistyn(great granddaughter); Eric Jr. (future great grandson); Robert Brunke(brother) and his wife Claudia; Mildred(sister-in-law)

He was an influential person to Lisa, Jeffery, Candice, Destiny, Jackie, John, Kathleen, Duane, Carol, Nancy, Lily and too many others to name including lifelong family friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sally Brunke; Edward Brunke(brother) and wife Verna; Norbert Brunke(brother) and wife Betty; Lawerence Brunke(brother)

Graveside services will be held at 11:30am Friday, September 9, 2022 at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, Fl 32218 With Father Matt from Assumption Church.

Lunch will immediately follow services at VFW Post 3270, 915 8th Ave Jacksonville Beach, Fl 32250.
