

Mr. Gerald Griffin entered into eternal rest early Saturday morning, October 17, 2015 at St.Vincent Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born the second child of triplets in Savannah, Georgia on October 9, 1946 to the late Capus and Corine Griffin.
He served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Viet Nam war and was stationed in Germany. Gerald retired from the New York City Housing Authority after 20 years. At an early age Mr. Griffin accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. After his retirement, he migrated to Jacksonville, Florida primarily to fish which was his favorite pastime.
Two of his brothers, Jerome Griffin and Richard Griffin and a granddaughter, Shawna Bey, preceded him in death.
Mr. Griffin leaves to cherish his memories: Wife, Bessie Griffin of St. Albans, N.Y., Daughter, Monifa Griffin of St. Albans, N.Y., Son, Gerald Griffin Jr.(Evena) of St. Albans, N.Y.; Four Sisters: Juanita Jackson of Savannah, Georgia, Jewel Atkinson (triplet) of Jacksonville, Florida, Jeris Clarke (triplet) (Larry) of Yulee, Florida, Georgetta Singleton of Beaufort, South Carolina, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Arrangements entrusted to Hardage Giddens 5753 Blanding Blvd. Jacksonville Fl. 32244, where a visitation will be held Saturday October 24, 2015 at 10;00am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 and Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, 800 Hammond Blvd. Jacksonville Fl. 32221 at 12:30 pm.
