Survivors include her sons Robert (Laura) Schulman, Brett (Debbie), and Jeffrey Schulman; grandchildren, Eric (Jennifer), Alex (Samantha), Luke, Jacob, and Jenna Schulman; great-grandchildren Graham and Reid Schulman; and nieces, Tammy, Jill, and Hope along with their children, and many loving friends.
Gloria accomplished so much over the course of her life. She testified in Tallahassee in support of legislation allowing women to own their own real estate brokerages and was part of the team that helped bring the Special Olympics to Jacksonville. She later became an administrator in the Duval County school system, where she worked selflessly with children and fellow educators for 30 years before retiring. In retirement, Gloria cherished time with her family. An avid knitter, she also gave back to others, knitting around 100 scarves each year for a local battered women's shelter.
A celebration of Gloria's life will be held on Thursday, May 7 at 5:00 p.m. at 6722 Buttontree Lane, Jacksonville, FL 32277.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mrs. Schulman's memory to a charity of your choice.
