Gordon King Chapman

CHAPMAN, Mr. Gordon King Chapman, 82, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016. Mr. Chapman, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was retired from the IRS after 29 years of service. He also had been a volunteer of Wolfson Children’s Auxillary for 22 years. Mr. Chapman was predeceased by his first wife, Joyce B. Chapman. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Barbara Chapman; 2 daughters, Patricia (Ronald) DuBose and Susan (Chris) Gallagher; 2 sons, Gregg and Michael Baxter; 1 brother, David (Shirley) Chapman; 6 grandchildren: Ryan, Tyler (Leeann), Sarah, Megan, Molly and Morgan; 2 great grandchildren, Madison and Emilyn; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 24, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., with Vicar Michael Popp officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery, with military honors. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Wolfson Children’s Hospital in his memory.
