ANDERSON, Gracie Estelle Anderson, 89, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014. Mrs. Anderson was born and raised in the Picketville community of Jacksonville and was an active and charter member of Vision Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Billy Anderson; a son, Paul McClain; and a daughter, Sylvia Smith. Survivors include her children, Ira Anderson and Gail (Jerry) Bass; 2 sisters, Ethel and Bertha; a brother, W.J.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 27, in the chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Ave., with Rev. F. Ray Turner officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and food, the family requests donations in Mrs. Anderson’s memory to the building fund of Vision Baptist Church, 16485 N. Main St., Jacksonville, FL 32218.
