Gwynn welcomed me with open arms into the Saunders family, always treating me like a sister. Heather was 2 when I came on the scene and she was just starting to talk. Gwynn and Vernon lived around the corner from Stephen and I and I used to love how she’d walk to our house and just want to talk in the middle of a Saturday. We’d vent about our husbands and why they had to be so hard working and live/love hunting so much, when really, we just missed them😊. She was the person who connected me with the first childcare center I would entrust my kids with with, Burrell’s, and eventually the Angel that watched over Erin and Kendall at school. She and Vernon also took care of Erin and Kendall when Stephen and I wanted to become more involved with our church. We were so blessed to have her in our lives. It’s hard to express how much I love her and how good she and Vernon and their family have been.
As much as this hurts, to know I’ll never see her or hear her again on this earth, I’m comforted knowing she is in her “ Forever” home with our Father.

I love you - Heather, Dylan, Josh, Brittany, Vernon and I’m praying for comfort and peace as you say goodbye.

I remember hanging with Heather back when we all use to work at Sonic Drive Thru, I think I drank to much but I wrapped my self with her Christmas wrapping paper and your mom could not stop laughing it made me feel really good because I thought she was gonna get mad that I used up all the wrapping paper.

Heather your mom was the coolest ,

When Dylan was born, you brought him to work with you at Assumption everyday. You didn't let the fact that they didn't have infant care stop you from coming to work EVERYDAY and working so hard. You would let me and a friend of my choosing stay in the clinic and watch Dylan. We hated doing traditional homework afterschool so we were stoked. My love of childcare came from you. I was in 6th grade lol! Ever since then I babysat, had three of my own and am now an afterschool care teacher. I am honored to have had you in my life as long as I did and am sad that I didn't keep in touch more. I love you and you will be so missed. I'm sad you wont see your girls get married but I'm happy you were here for the time you were with them . You've overcome so much in your life and deserve to rest easy. Rest easy in heaven my angel.

One of the sweetest most down to earth women that ever crossed my path. She took care of us at the karate school as if we were her own. The love she showered us with will be forever cherished and never forgotten. We love you Momma Saunders. Thinking of you always and forever.
