

Vita Fanelli Warren - Mrs. Warren died on Wednesday, August 12th, 2015 at the age of 87, with her family by her side. She was born August 13th, 1927 in Jacksonville, Florida. She worked at the Palace Theater and graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy. After graduating high school she moved to California for a brief period of time then returned to Jacksonville when her mother fell ill. She was trained in banking while in California and returned as a teller with the Atlantic National Bank where she would meet her future husband, Harold Warren. Upon having her first and only child, she left the bank and dedicated her full energy at home. She was an avid shark tooth hunter and loved long walks. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and had a true joy for life. Known for her famous spaghetti, she has brought comfort and love to all who have known her.
Mrs. Warren is survived by her son, Steve (wife Kerry); grandsons, Alex and Colin Warren; sisters, Stella Tower and Joan Hicks; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was survived by and is now joined in death by, her husband of 53 years, Harold Warren.
Harold Lee Warren - Mr. Warren died on Friday, September 4th, 2015 at the age of 86, with his family by his side. He was born January 8, 1929 in Homeland, Georgia, where he lived until the age of 4, when his family moved to Jacksonville, Florida. A graduate of the Lee High School Class of 1948, he lettered on the track team and worked at the Palace Theater where he became chief usher. He joined the Army in 1950, was stationed in Germany and was transferred into the reserves in 1952. Upon his return he started working with his brother, Ellis, in various endeavors and in 1955 they started Warren Motors. In 1967 they became one of the first independent automobile dealers in Florida to finance their own cars. An entrepreneur at heart, Harold became involved in numerous businesses in the ensuing decades including various real estate investments, other automobile dealerships, a promotional products company, and a commercial poultry equipment manufacturer. Perhaps his favorite endeavor was creating the Warren Motors softball team which eventually won the National Open Slow Pitch Softball Tournament in 1976 at Drew Park in Jacksonville. He loved playing pool, watching boxing matches, cars, gaming and sports of all kinds.
Mr. Warren is survived by his son, Steve (wife Kerry); grandsons, Alex and Colin Warren; brother, Ellis Warren; sister, Louise Bell; and loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Vita, who died August 12, 2015; brothers, Jimmy and Earl; twin sister, Hazel, and sister, Ruth. Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 11th , 2015 at 12:30pm at Oaklawn Chapel and Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207.
