Harold Robert McKnight

Harold Robert McKnight passed away on January 16th 2015 in Jacksonville Florida. He was born on July 8th 1935 in Aliquippa Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Edward Bennington McKnight and Cora Ellen Mae Llewelyn. Many may have known him by Bob McKnight. He married Evelyn Laura Strohm on August 16, 1958 in Aliquippa Pennsylvania. They spent most of their lives living in Pennsylvania and then moved to Jacksonville Florida to enjoy warmer weather. He was a father of five children, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He served in the United States Army. He worked at Jones & Laughlin Steel Company in Aliquippa.He was a Steeler Fan and enjoyed watching the game with his family especially his wife. He was also a very avid bowler. He bowled in a league for years at Center Lanes. In his earlier years he loved to sit in the sun or by the pool. He would sit and listen to music which he really enjoyed. You would also find him with a handheld poker game in his hand. He leaves behind a very loving his loving wife Evelyn. His sons Robbie (Sandra), Randy and significant other Laura Richeson , Ricky and two daughters Melanie (Randy) Forbes and Michelle (Kenneth) Pursley . He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Melissa (Tim )Hill, Shaun McKnight ( Jamie Kurtz), Amanda McKnight, Garrett McKnight, Kasey Pursley, Chelsea Pursley, Thomas McKnight and Brandon McKnight. He will also be missed by his great grandchildren Maxwell, Aubrey, & Layla Hill and Evelyn Moody. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward & Cora McKnight one brother Edward (Sophia) McKnight and four sisters , Anne (Al) Huwar, June (Paul) Gillooly, Thelma (Amel) Trasport and Louise(Rod) Hineman
