

FROMME Harry F. Fromme, age 93, died Tuesday, March 27th, predeceased by his beloved wife of 64 years, Peggy. Born in Jacksonville in 1918, Harry was educated at Robert E. Lee High School, Notre Dame University and graduated University of Florida 1940, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Harry had also been an Eagle Scout. He served in the Army Air Corp as a pilot for five years, and was separated as a Lt. Col. in 1945. Harry began his business career as a manufacturer s representative and later founded the manufacturing company, Thefco. Later he traveled the world with interest in investments and real estate. Harry was well known for his many local activities and his friends and family will never forget and always love his music, singing, and laughter. He was a Jacksonville Junior Chamber of Commerce President and was voted Florida s most outstanding Chamber President. He was a Chairman of the Jacksonville Open Golf Tournament, and was a founding member of the Committee of 100. Harry was Captain of Ye Mystic Revelers, a Rotarian and a member of the Florida Yacht Club, Timuquana Country Club, and the 200 Club. Harry was also predeceased by his son, Marine Corps Captain Rick Fromme. He leaves two daughters: Jane Hart and Susan Mattox (Hugh), and grandchildren: Tres Fromme of Dallas, Dr. Barrett Fromme of Chicago, Lathrop Hart Mosley, Spartanburg, and Ray Hart of Delray Beach. There are also two great grandchildren, Emerson and Owen. Private family services will be at later date; but come celebrate Harry's life Sunday, April 1 from 4 to 6 pm at 4281 McGirts Blvd. Memorials may be made to St. Matthews Catholic Church or the Sulzbacher Center.
