Harry B. Verstandig

Harry B. Verstandig, 75 years old, was born in London, England in1940 and came to the United States when he was eight years old. He died peacefully on October 23, 2015. He was predeceased by his daughter Jennifer V. Rutansky and his parents Hertha and Josef Verstandig. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Dorothy Verstandig and his daughters Lauren V. Perez, Wendy V. Sapolsky. He is also survived by his sons-in -law, Jeffrey Sapolsky and Joe Rutansky as well as by his six grand children: Marni Sapolsky, Dillon Perez, Brooke Sapolsky, Gil Sapolsky, Elizabeth Rutansky and Jacob Rutansky. Harry graduated from City College of New York and received his MBA from N.Y.U. Fortunately computer technology was evolving just as Harry's business career was advancing. Over a 53-year career, Harry's love of computer technology allowed him to successfully advance into web based system management and development. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Harry was respected and loved by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, at 2:00pm at Jacksonville Jewish Center, 3662 Crown Point Rd. Donations may be made to River Garden or Jacksonville Jewish center.
