Helen was born in Kearny, New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1952 with her husband Jim.
She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church since 1962.
Helen enjoyed many activities but truly loved playing golf with Jim and their friends. Helen was a talented seamstress but her real talent was making people feel good. She never lost her sense of humor and desire to help others. Everyone who ever met her will miss her and that contagious smile!
Her husband of 53 years, James F. Black, Jr. and her daughter, Patricia Keitzer, predeceased Helen. She is survived by her son Jim Black (Sheila), son-in-law Steve Keitzer, grandchildren Kristin Sommers (Ray) Travis Black (Margeaux), Traci Salari (Shaun), Conor Keitzer (Lindsay), John Keitzer (Kelly), Kevin Keitzer, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She loved them all and was loved by all of them.
The family is having a private service to celebrate her life. The family would also like to offer a special thanks to the staff of Sunrise Assisted Living, Haven Hospice, Mary Jane Morales (long time neighbor) Pat and Mary who cared for Mom / Grandma.
