Helen Harford Edwards

Helen H. Edwards was granted eternal peace in the Kingdom of Heaven by our glorious God on August 13, 2014. Helen was born in Savannah, Georgia on March 31, 1942. Shortly after her birth, Helen’s family moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she lived with her parents and siblings. On July 21, 1961, Helen married a Jacksonville native, Stuart W. Edwards Jr. (deceased). They continued to reside in Jacksonville, Florida with their daughters, Amanda and Lesley. Both daughters continue to reside in Jacksonville with their spouses and children. Helen was actively involved in many organizations. She passionately gave her time to many friends as well as the Pinocchio Rose chapter of the Garden Club and the Duval Association of Educational Office Professionals. Mother genuinely enjoyed life until her place in Heaven was prepared. She will be missed and loved by all that were given the pleasure to be surrounded by her love and generosity. Helen is survived by her daughters, Amanda Cribb (Dennis), and Lesley Bass Johnson; grandchildren, Hannah, Casey, Kelli, and Thomas; sisters, Mary Anne Murray (Tom), and Linda Stars (Steve) along with many close extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19th at San Jose Episcopal Church, 7423 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32217, with Father Steph Britt as Officiant.
