Herman P. Baggett

Jack worked for the USPS for 38 years as a clerk and retired in 1988. He then went to work with Memorial Hospital full time in October of 1988. Jack ran the mail room and copy center. He loved his work and all the wonderful people he met throughout his life. Jack was a loving husband, father and friend to all who knew him.

Jack was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Peggy J. Baggett.

He is survived by two daughters, Jacquelyn Weigel, Janis Gray (Mike) , four grandchildren, Wendy Bourgholtzer (Eric), Perry Weigel (Jennifer), Meridith McDonald (Doug) and Travis Champion, two sisters-in-law, Lee Baggett and Judy Baggett and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jack will always be in our hearts and memories. He was one of a kind!

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 6 – 8:30 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 10:30 am at Peace Presbyterian Church, 2300 Southside Blvd., Jacksonville, 32216. Burial will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
