MARSHALL………HOWARD OSWELL MARSHALL, SR called home to eternal glory May 2, 2014, Howard O. was a native of Augusta, Ga, and 56 yr. resident of Jacksonville. A WWII navy veteran, he served aboard LSM31 in the South Pacific. A self- employed builder, he founded Marshall Builders, Inc. in 1959. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, he faithfully served the Lord through the ministry of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville as a Deacon on various boards including the Finance Committee and as Chairman of the Benevolence Committee. But his greatest joy was serving as a high school Sunday School teacher for over 42 years. He was an avid amateur golfer who could boast a Hole-in-One August 23, 2002 on the 16th Hole of Hidden Hills.
