I first met Hybert when he came to work at JEA reading Electric meters. Around 1975 I joined the Florida Army National Guard and eventually talked Hybert and others into joining.  After a few years I was promoted to C&D and did not see him much until the meter readers came to C&D.  JEA went to contract meter readers.  After a few years he went to the Florida Air National Guard. I did not know that until I joined the Florida National Guard also. After I retired I would sometime see him at Terrys restaurant in Qceanway.

I met Hybert about fifteen years ago when I went to fifty seven heaven.. He could cut a rug.. He was a good dancer. Thank the Lord I saw him last summer and I was going to go see him next week because I'm off work.I'm gonna miss him, but I'll see him 1 day in heaven and we'll just get caught up on everything.. Prayers and comfort to the family and friends of Hybert

My sincere condolences to a wonderful friend and true gentleman. (Also fellow veteran). He will be truly missed and now he’ll join other friends we both shared in our paths… ‘til we meet again — Rest in Peace kind sir!! 🙏

I will miss you uncle Hybert tell daddy I miss and love him always rest in heaven together.
