

Loree B. Weedon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died suddenly on November 25, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Loree and her husband, Bill, who survives her, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year.
A faith-filled woman, she taught the Catholic faith not only to her children, but also to her husband, leading him to his conversion by her example. She is predeceased by her son, Jimmy, but survived by his widow, Kathy, her son, Jerry, and his wife, Kathy, and her daughter, Marla, and her husband, Rex Oliver. Ten cherished grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, who loved their Mimi, will keep her memory alive. Her brother, William T. Baumiller and a sister-in-law, Irma Weedon, survive as do numerous nieces and nephews.
A member of the Greatest Generation, Loree was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and married Bill, an All-City football star at the beginning of World War II weeks before he shipped out to the North Atlantic with the U.S. Navy.
The couple moved to Jacksonville in 1955 to start a new business which prospers to this day. Loree became an avid golfer and clubwoman, serving as President of the Glynlea Garden Circle, Gateway Women's Club, The Jacksonville Women's Golf Association and San Jose County Club Women's Golf Association. She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women and the Cursillo Movement.
Loree fulfilled her lifetime dreams as a wife and mother, but also dreamed of and became a singer with a big band in Baltimore before her marriage, and a runway fashion model in various local charitable events after she moved to Florida.
She and Bill were founding members of Selva Marina Country Club and lifelong members of San Jose Country Club and the Ponte Vedra Club where they made and have many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 29 at 11 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd with Father Tim Lozier as Celebrant. Family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Church before Mass. Charitable donations may be made in her honor to the St. Francis Soup Kitchen 134 E Church St 32202 or the YMCA of Florida's First Coast at 12735 Gran Bay Parkway West, Suite 250, Jacksonville, FL 32258.
