

Imogene – Mom – Gram will be remembered for her faith, dedication to her family, and her homemaking talents. She was a member of Mandarin Church of Christ.
Imogene was predeceased by her parents, Avery and Zora Fike; brothers, Leon and Charles Fike and sister, Odessa Patterson. Surviving family members include her husband for 71 years, Cloyce Lawrence Purdom; daughters, Suzanne Martin Wheeler (Frank) of Nashville, TN and Jeanne Nicholson of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Helen Lusk of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Jamon Martin (Michelle), Melanie Grogan (Eric) and Scott Chipman; great grandchildren, Gunner, Addie, and Pradie Martin and Elizabeth, Will, Kate, and Max Grogan.
She received loving care from Bessie Samuel, Alicia Drysdale, Zelda Williams, and Frankie McDonald, as well as from the staff at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
A memorial service will be Saturday, August 2 at 2 pm at the Mandarin Church of Christ 12791 Old St. Augustine Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32258. Grandson Jamon Martin will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida in Imogene’s name are welcome.
