Inez was born and raised in Ocala, FL. The youngest of 7 children of the late Gordon and Sally Thomas. Survived by one brother Olin Thomas (Rosalie). Inez married Robert Klem on November 28, 1952 who was enlisted in the Navy at the time. After they married, Inez left her small town of Ocala and lived in multiple cities, settling in New York City at 17 years old. She spent a couple of years working in the Big Apple. Then she moved to Washington D.C. where she started her family. She then moved back to New York City where she was blessed with 2 more children. Relocated back to Florida where 2 more children were born. She resided her last 59 years in Jacksonville. Inez will be remembered for her fun loving spirit, love for people and nature, her spicy personality. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Inez worked many years at Sandalwood High School cafeteria. She helped a friend in a residential cleaning business for fun. In later years, Inez and Robert traveled extensively in the U.S. They enjoyed visiting historical sites. For relaxation and fun, they visited casinos from Tampa to Vancouver spending most of their time at the penny machine! Inez loved planning family summer vacations. Not only with her children but also with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Moose Lodge for a time. Inez’s life was dedicated to her 5 children, 12 grandchildren, Sara, Stephanie, Jessica, Chris, Heather, Daniel, Stephen, Rachel, Eric, Kenny, William, David and her 12 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
