Inge Edith Hanchey-Worth travelled from this world for the banquet hall of eternity, on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at age of 76. She was born in Berlin, Germany of February 21, 1942 to Heinrich and Ernestine Bietsch.
As a young woman, Inge attended Pestalozzi College in Heidelberg where she received a degree in laboratory technologies. She was also fluent in German, French, Flemish, Norwegian, and English. In 1963, Inge moved to America and at the age of 21, she married her late husband Owen Hanchey, together they were blessed with their daughter, Michaela. Later in life, Inge met and married Richard Worth, who she shared 30 years with before his passing in 2017. Inge had a passion for the arts and music and loved to paint, sew, cook, and garden. She also loved traveling and being in nature, as well as, making friends wherever she went. Inge loved animals and will be missed dearly by her dog, Weasel.
She was a machinery designer for AMETEK (U.S. Gauge Division) and did all of the artwork for the company newsletter. Upon moving to Jacksonville, she worked at Northeast Florida Regional Planning Council as the librarian.
Inge is predeceased by her parents; husband, Owen; husband, Richard; and grandson, Michael.
She is survived by her daughters, Michaela (John) Stumberger and Tiki Hall; brothers, Heinz (Hannah) Bietsch and Claus (Renate) Bauer, both of Germany; and sister, Helga Hahl of Greece, and many nieces and nephews.
Inge will be missed dearly by her many neighbors, friends, and family, including Darius, Luz, Brenda, Mimi, Tammy, Shahwar, Monika, Karla, Inge, Rosewitha.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home with Deacon Chuck Kanaszka as officiant.
