her heart was. She was born January 20, 1939, in Huntington NY., to Carl and Else Thomsen.
She married Philip R. Spano Sr. on September 10, 1960.
Irene is survived by Linda A. Pearson, of Summerville, SC., Philip R. Spano Jr. and his wife
Stella of Jacksonville, FL., 4 grandsons, Brad and Steven of Summerville SC., Louis and Julian
of Jacksonville, FL., and 1 great grandson DJ.
Irene was a retired LPN nurse who gave herself to each and every patient she cared for over
her lengthy career. She was a wonderfully kind and generous woman. She had a love of
animals and supported whole heartily all charities such as the ASPCA.
She had a very special place in her life for Tom and Denise Neals and their family. Who, for
numerous years lived with cared for Irene, and were her devoted friends.
