Irma Louise Baker Neil, 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 14, 2011. Mrs. Neil was born on February 6, 1920 in Hartsburg, Illinois. She had lived in Jacksonville since 1954. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Bill B. Neil, and her sisters Dorothy Hildebrand, Ruth Gehlbach, Louella Kagel, and Esther Lolling, all of Illinois. Survivors include her children, Randy (Kathy) Neil, of Chapin, SC; Judy (Billy) Doyle and Patty (Greg) Toole, both of Jacksonville, FL; 9 grandchildren: Bryan Neil, Corey (April) Neil, Bart Chandler, Dr. Holly (Trey) Chandler Hodges, Doug (Angie) Doyle, Mathew (Erin) Doyle, Bradley Doyle, Michael Doyle and Scott (Melanie) Toole; 9 great-grandchildren: Ainsley, Carter and Meredith Neil; Claire and Lindsay Hodges; Jackson, Avery, Colin and Peyton Doyle; one brother, Wilbur Baker, of Lincoln, IL; one cousin, Charlie Anderson of Lincoln, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends 1-2 pm Monday, January 17 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel, 4115 Hendricks Ave. Funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor George Spencer officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. Arrangements by Greenlawn Funeral Home.
