
WRIGHT-----Ivan W. Wright, 87, passed away Friday, March 3, 2006. Our Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle left the world as he lived in it conscious of God and at peace. He was very proud of his work history, especially service to his Country including time served in the 3 C> '> s (Civilian Conservation Corp) from 1935 to 1937, and his service in the U.S. Navy from 1939 to 1959. He was later a Park Ranger for the California State Parks and ended his career retiring as a Plant Operator for Kissimmee Utilities [Florida]. Ivan was a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Assoc., Naval Airship Assoc.[LTA], Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Navy Fleet Reserves. The family will remember him as a man of many talents, including cooking, gardening, woodworking and he was also an artist. He was preceded in death by Doris Wright, Wife and Mother of his only child; Kay Wright, Wife; Brother in Law, Floyd Feltner; Parents, Roy and Mabel Wright; Sister in Law, Ida Wright; Brothers, Vance and Marvin Wright and is survived by his loving Daughter and Son in Law, Pam and Toby Sands; a Sister, Floris Feltner; Sister in Law, Joann Wright; 2 Grandchildren, Melissa (Chris Sr.) Morgan and Vanessa (Lonnie Jr.) Veal; 6 Great Grandchildren, Christopher Jr., Connor, McKenzie and Madison Morgan and Logan and Landon Veal and a host of Nieces, Nephews, other Family and Friends. Funeral services with full Military Honors will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 10th in the Chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd. with Rev. Bob Barton, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery, Greenup, Illinois where he was born and raised, at a later date.
