In loving memory of Jack Hofstra. There are few men who can hold a candle to this kind, warm hearted, and generous man. He could always light up a room with his sweet smile, he always had a kind word to say to everyone he met, his family meant the world to him. He served our Country and then made a beautiful life for his own family. He was selfless in every way. He always made me feel welcome, wanted to know about my girls, and would greet them & treat them as if they were his own. The world will be much emptier without him & I mourn his passing. The big heart of his children & grandchildren are a testament to this wonderful man.

    Dean and I both would like to express our condolences to your family.  Your dad was a wonderful dad and we both thought so highly of him.  Now he is at peace with your mom.  We send our prayers and love to all of you.

Your dad was like a father to me and will never been forgotten.  I'm thankful for the time I could spend with him and your family in his final days and I know he's proud of the beautiful tribute you did for him.  He will always be with you.  Love you all...

I am very sorry for the loss of your father, however he will continue to live with you in the memories that you keep close in your hearts.  I know that your mom was the first to welcome him with a party including my mom and all of his family.

Ive had the pleasure to be part of Jacks family.  Even though I am not his son as a teen and young man he treated me as a son. Giving me advice as a son, telling me things at times I didnt really want to hear but was for my benefit. He was supportive, loving, kind, quick with a joke, friendly and would help anyone in need but most of all loved the Lord and always let that be known.
 He was the roll model I never had an example of what a real man should be and how to handle he responsibilities of a man. He showed me what it meant to be a Godly man and to walk as one.
 He loved his country and served it proudly as a United States Marine. He loved the Corps and grateful for the opportunities the Corps gave him. How honored I was to be sworn into the military by this man. A man I looked up to and admired.

I will miss him but have the confidence that we will meet again on the home of our eternal home heaven. Jack is now with his lovely wife Janice who was another important person in my life. Both in the presence of our loving and Holy God. 

As I stated above what a privilege and honor to have known and loved Jack and how he impacted my life.

It was a pleasure and honor to have known  Jack Hofstra.My favorite memory was his baptism at the River Jordan.He was a true Christian, Veteran{POW!},and Gentleman.

I did not have the pleasure of personally knowing Jack since we recently came to MPC but the tribute by Pastor Pound and comments from classmates tell what a joy he was in their lives.
