Jahvaun De'Andre Carriere

Jahvaun was baptized February 3,2008 at the Fruit Cove Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. As a military child he attended a number of schools. He attended schools in Honolulu, Hawaii, Lemoore, California and Lake Villa, Illinois. In 2004, his family transferred to Jacksonville, Florida where he attended Joseph Finegan Elementary School, Pine Forest Elementary School of Arts, Switzerland Point Middle School and Bartram Trail High School. He received his High School Diploma on 17 May 2013. Jahvaun earned his Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate in March 2014. And in April 2014, he decided to follow his father’s footsteps by embarking a career as a Merchant Mariner. He and was employed with Kirby Inland Marine Shipping Company.

Jahvaun participated in a number of social organizations and charities. He loved to skateboard, play football, baseball, basketball, soccer, wrestling, bowling and music. He performed in the Nutcracker play at the Florida Theater two years in a row.

Jahvaun is survived by his father Andre Sr., his mother Joyce, sister De’Launa, twin-brother Andre Jr. and dog Justin.

Grandmother’s Lorraine Dortch (deceased), Mary Carriere, Aunt Deborah Hines and Uncles Rodney Carriere and Willie Dortch as well as a host of family and friends.
