James Albert Bahr passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 83. James was born on November 19, 1942, in Atchison, Kansas. James proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy. He was beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Margaret Bahr; one son, Gary Bahr; and one brother, Jerry Bahr. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Alice; two daughters Kimberly Powell (Eddie) and Kathleen Timmons, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Pastor Ricky Crews will serve as officiant.
