HERRINGTON- James O. "Country" Herrington., Born January 28th, 1928 in Appling Co. Ga. to Hiram H. and Mary Nettles Herrington, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 9th 2007. James moved to Jacksonville, Fl in 1949, where he worked in construction and raised his six children with wife Claudeen. He was a woodsman, avid hunter, farmer, and bee-keeper. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Claudeen Brooker, both parents, a brother Odell and sister Ruth Carter. He will be greatly missed by his six children: James H., Curtis (Linda), Drexel, Scheryl (Jeff) Fazan, Annette Gammon and Jannette (Dave) Harmon, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and one brother Jerry. He has also left behind many nieces, nephews and treasured friends. The family will receive friends Thursday July 12, 2007 from 6 to 9 pm, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral home 940 Cesery Blvd. James will be taken to Rose Hill Cemetery in Alma, Ga. for a Graveside Service 11:00 a.m., Friday July 13, 2007. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James's name to Community Hospice of Jacksonville, Fl.
