

After a dignified fight against metastatic melanoma, Jim left this life to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Originally from Louisville, KY, son of the late William and Jean Goodwin. He is survived by his wife Stephanie Horrell Goodwin of Jacksonville, FL, his son Scott (Tracie) Goodwin and grandchildren Riley and Sydney Goodwin of Cocoa, FL, his daughter, Jenny Goodwin of Atlanta, GA, his sister Linda (Richard) Neubeck of Ft. Pierce, FL and his brother Dan (Lynn) Goodwin of Louisville, KY.
Jim enjoyed a long, successful career leading New Product Development in the beverage industry. He retired from 23 years at Bacardi, developing new products for various worldwide markets. He spent his short retirement making positive changes in his community and spending precious time with his two granddaughters and his beloved family and
friends. He was a hard working man of integrity, fairness and honesty. He touched and positively influenced the lives of those around him. His life was a shining example of how to be the best husband, father and
friend.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-8:00 P.M on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in HARDAGE-GIDDENS Funeral Home 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Mandarin United Methodist Church 11270 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL, 32223.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Pewee Valley Confederate Cemetery Maple Avenue, Pewee Valley, Kentucky 40056.
